We almost pulled off a remarkable four consecutive wins in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes. Having won it with Carry On Katie, Magical Romance and Donna Blini a neck was all that separated Dhanyata , who was second, from the winner. (Note to ourselves - improve this record!) Purchased as a yearling for 125,000 Gns., prior to her winning the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes. She was put in-foal to Pivotal, on our advice, prior to her record breaking second sales ring appearance. SPECIFICALLY was the third top priced broodmare in Europe in 2006 when fetching 1.85 million Guineas (£1,942,500). Purchased in 2004 for €50,000 (£37,000), she is the dam of Group 1 1,000 Guineas winner Speciosa. On our advice she was put back in-foal to Speciosa's sire Danehill Dancer prior to this ultra-lucrative return to the sales. HALLAND PARK LASS, though sold in 2005, represented another major success. Bought privately for less than £10,000 as a filly out of training, she produced dual Group 1 winning 2 year old Dutch Art. This time she made 710,000 Gns. (in-foal to Tobougg) and her Kyllachy filly foal made 280,000 Gns - making a total of £1.04 million. In addition to the numerous public auction purchases, we have also been as active as ever buying buying privately both to race and as breeding stock. (a half sister to Gr.1 winners Hernando and Johann Quatz) and Estarova for 185,000 Gns. (a half sister to the dam of Gr.1 winner Kistena) at Tattersalls. In the foal section we bought an In The Wings colt for 105,000 Gns.. We also had a great success when Leggy Lou, purchased for only Ir£50,000 as a yearling, sold at the Tattersalls sale for 500,000 Gns. A tremendous result for original owner Edward St. George having also had the great success with her on the race course. Sponsorship. We sponsored the £10,000 McKeever St. Lawrence Conditions Stakes at Doncaster on 12th September over 7 furlongs. It was won by the very useful looking Hills of Gold , who looks a Group class colt. He was rated 105 in the International Classifications. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
